RELY ON THE MEALS YOU’VE FROZEN

When you pull a meal out of the freezer, defrost it in the fridge if you’ve got enough time. Otherwise, defrost it under cold running water or in the microwave. Food defrosted in the microwave should be eaten immediately. Food that has been frozen should be eaten within three days of being removed from the freezer.

Reheat solid food to at least 165°F and do it fast. Reheat soups and sauces to a rolling boil. Don’t reheat your already reheated leftovers, much as it may pain you to discard them. No matter how great your sense of smell has become during and after pregnancy neither your nose, eyes, nor tastebuds are an accurate judge of the safety of your food. If in doubt, throw it out.
